Fast Local Laplacian Filters: Theory and Applications

This paper formally analyzes the Local Laplacian Filters, relating them to bilateral filtering and anisotropic diffusion, which allows accelerating them by a factor 50, and demonstrates design of a photographic style transfer algorithm that can efficiently transfer gradient distributions between images.
